Everyone may hear a proverb stated that “one picture means a thousand words”.
The above picture is also the same. It can represent more than a thousand words based on imagination or experience of each person.
Back to the question, “Tell “three things” you see in this picture!”
For quick answer, “three things” clearly seen from this picture are:
The first thing is tiny impressing smiles of small children wearing Muslim student uniforms in light purple color who are queuing up for hairdressing. While they are waiting, they also turn to smile to the photographer who is taking this photo representing hairdressing service of a young ranger wearing a black army uniform who is cutting a child’s hair.
The second thing is the photo of four to five small children who are queuing up for hairdressing service provided by the young ranger. While these children in light purple student uniforms are waiting, these children are paying attention to another child who is sitting on four pink chairs that are stacked on one another to get the suitable height for hairdressing. Something like that.
The third thing is the picture of a young ranger who is normally holding a gun for securing life and assets of local people in southern border provinces but he is holding a “battalion” and turning his responsibility from securing life and assets to be making these small Muslim boys with bright smiles turn to be handsome boys.
These are things that can be seen clearly from this picture!
Actually, if we want to tell a story from a picture, there may be more stories than these three things.
The story of this photo was occurred on November 14th, 2020, when the task force of the 46th Ranger Forces Regiment by the 4609th Ranger Troop held Black Army Barber Delivery activity to provide “free” hairdressing service to all juveniles (under Barber Delivery Project for Building Relationship with Local People Project) in order to reduce cost of households of local people at Tadika Darul-Aeihsan School, Ban Rabing Ruto, Village No. 8, Khok Sator Sub-District, Rue Sao District, Narathiwat Province.
Black Army means rangers who are forces of security agencies who have to perform operations in risky areas in southern border provinces for operating security missions directly, for example, security of life and assets as well as development mission for security including development based on the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy, public support, and public approaching.
The term, Barber Delivery, means providing help or hairdressing service to students or young boys with tiny smiles making people seeing this picture smile.
This “Black Army Barber Delivery” activity is only a part of “Black Army” who has to make local people who live in multicultural society trust their operations.
There is also a huge number of other missions and/or activities that must be continuously performed by Black Army because what they have to deliver is not only hairdressing service but it is also security of life and assets and peace of their operational areas.
